Brain training & memory pill: new combo targets alcohol cravings

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of a memory-enhancing medication (donepezil) and cognitive training therapy works better than a placebo to help people with alcohol use disorder reduce heavy drinking. Researchers will compare the two approaches in about 160 participants over 13 weeks. The goal is to see if improving brain function can help people better control their drinking.
