Scientists scan brains to see Alcohol's hidden impact

Summary
This study aims to understand if drinking alcohol increases the activity of a specific protein (PDE4B) in the brain. Researchers will use brain scans (PET and MRI) on about 30 healthy social drinkers, once while sober and once after receiving alcohol. The goal is to gather basic knowledge that could one day lead to new treatments for alcohol use disorder.
