One-Shot fix for high blood pressure? new trial tests alcohol injection
NCT ID NCT07083765
Summary
This Phase 3 trial is testing whether a one-time medical procedure can lower high blood pressure without the need for daily pills. Doctors inject a small amount of alcohol near the kidneys to calm overactive nerves that raise blood pressure. Participants with uncontrolled hypertension will stop their regular medications and be randomly assigned to receive either the real procedure or a fake one for comparison.
