Can a single chat curb Post-War drinking?
NCT ID NCT06918106
Summary
This study aims to see if a simple screening and counseling session can help reduce unhealthy alcohol use in people visiting public hospitals in Tigray, Ethiopia, who have been affected by conflict. Researchers will screen about 1,260 outpatients for risky drinking. Those identified will be randomly assigned to either receive a one-time advice and counseling session with follow-up checks, or just the follow-up checks alone, to compare results over 6 and 12 months.
