First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study aims to find out how many pregnant women in Slovenia use alcohol or cannabis. Researchers will test newborn stool samples (meconium) for signs of these substances and also ask mothers about their habits. They will also look at the gut bacteria in babies exposed to these substances compared to those who were not. The study includes 600 participants and is purely observational, with no treatment involved.
