New stroke treatment aims to protect the brain after clot removal

NCT ID NCT07294391

Summary

This study is testing if adding a protein called albumin directly into the brain's arteries right after a successful clot removal procedure can help protect brain tissue and reduce long-term damage from a major stroke. It will involve 60 patients who have had a stroke caused by a large blocked artery. The goal is to see if this added step is safe and if it leads to better recovery compared to the standard clot removal procedure alone.
