First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested whether a substance made from a patient's own blood (albumin platelet-rich fibrin) can reduce swelling, pain, and improve healing after wisdom tooth removal. Sixteen healthy adults with both lower wisdom teeth needing extraction took part. Researchers measured facial swelling, wound healing, pain levels, and certain blood markers to see if the treatment helped.
