Could a simple protein boost stroke recovery? new trial aims to find out

Summary

This study tests whether giving a protein called albumin directly into the artery, right after a stroke clot is removed, can reduce brain damage. Sixty adults with large-vessel stroke will be randomly assigned to get either standard care alone or standard care plus albumin. The main goal is to see if albumin shrinks the area of brain injury measured on MRI scans 24 hours later.
