New hope pill tested for tough cancers

Summary
This is the first study in humans of an experimental oral medication called AL58805 for patients with advanced solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goals are to find the highest safe dose and understand how the drug moves through the body. The study will enroll about 40 patients to carefully monitor side effects and drug levels over time.
