New device aims to suction deadly lung clots

Summary
This study is testing a medical device called the Akura Thrombectomy System to see if it can safely and effectively remove dangerous blood clots from the lungs of people with acute pulmonary embolism (PE). The procedure involves threading a small tube through blood vessels to reach the lungs and physically removing the clot. Researchers will measure if the device improves heart strain and track serious complications over 30 days.
