New clot-busting device aims to clear lung blockages fast

Summary
This study tests a new device called the Akura Thrombectomy System to safely remove blood clots from the lungs in people with a sudden pulmonary embolism (PE). About 118 adults with a confirmed PE and symptoms for 14 days or less will take part. The main goals are to see if the device improves blood flow in the lungs and to check for serious side effects like bleeding or injury.
