New lung navigation tool put to the test

NCT ID NCT06046001

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested a new device called AirWaze that helps doctors guide a thin tube (bronchoscope) to the right spot in the lungs during a biopsy. 37 adults with lung lesions took part. The main goals were to see if the device was easy to use and if a special low-dose scan could confirm the tool was in the right place. This was a usability study, not a treatment.
