Ultrasound might predict difficult intubation better than standard tests
NCT ID NCT07243106
First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using an ultrasound to measure the throat before surgery can help predict if placing a breathing tube will be difficult. Researchers will compare ultrasound measurements with standard checks (like mouth opening and neck length) in 140 adults having planned surgery. The goal is to see if ultrasound alone or combined with standard tests improves prediction accuracy.
