Homemade vs. High-Tech: which training tool better prepares doctors for a Life-or-Death procedure?

NCT ID NCT06687395

Summary

This study tested whether doctors retain a rare, emergency surgical airway skill equally well when trained on a homemade practice model versus a commercial one. Forty-two resident doctors were split into two groups, trained on one of the models, and then tested on their skills three to four months later. The goal was to see if the cheaper, homemade model was just as good for effective long-term training.
