Video-Guided breathing tube tested for safer shoulder operations
NCT ID NCT07501468
Summary
This study compares two breathing devices used during general anesthesia for shoulder surgery. Researchers want to see if a new video-guided mask (SafeLM™) keeps a better seal than a standard device (i-gel®) when patients are tilted into a special 'beach chair' position for surgery. They will measure air pressure leaks and track any breathing problems or complications in 70 patients to determine which device is safer.
