NCT ID NCT02765529
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study aimed to find new blood markers that show how tiny air pollution particles affect the body. Researchers took blood samples from 101 healthy adults of different ages and exposed their white blood cells to fine particles in the lab. They measured changes related to inflammation, DNA damage, and cell activity. The goal was to better understand how pollution might lead to disease, especially in older people.
