First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using portable air cleaners at home can lower blood pressure in adults with hypertension living in New York City public housing. Air pollution is a known risk factor for heart disease, and this approach aims to reduce exposure to tiny particles in the air. About 440 participants will use air cleaners and measure their blood pressure daily over several months.
