No more poking! AI app sees inside wounds without contact
NCT ID NCT07211295
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called SeeWound 2 that uses artificial intelligence to measure the size, depth, and tissue makeup of hard-to-heal wounds. Instead of using a probe to touch the wound, the app takes a picture and calculates the measurements digitally. The study involved 25 adults with wounds from diabetes, poor circulation, or pressure, and aimed to see if the app is accurate and safe enough to replace the current invasive method.
