Phone camera AI aims to replace painful wound probing
NCT ID NCT07211295
Summary
This study tested a new smartphone app called SeeWound 2, which uses artificial intelligence to analyze photos of hard-to-heal wounds. The app was designed to measure the wound's size, depth, and tissue types without needing to touch the wound, which is currently a painful process. Researchers worked with 25 adult patients to see if the app's measurements were accurate and safe compared to standard care.
