First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study compares two AI models (Gemini 2.5 Pro and ChatGPT-5.1) to expert anesthesiologists in interpreting ultrasound videos of a pain-block procedure called TAP block. About 40 adults having routine surgery will have their ultrasound videos recorded and analyzed. The goal is to see if AI can accurately identify anatomy and judge block success, which could help train future doctors and support clinical decisions.
