Doctors vs. AI: Who's better at predicting surgery risk?
NCT ID NCT07399938
Summary
This study compares how experienced anesthesiologists and artificial intelligence (AI) systems assess patient risk before surgery. Researchers will give both doctors and AI the same patient information to see how they classify surgical risk, and then test whether adding frailty data changes their decisions. The goal is to understand differences in human and AI reasoning to potentially improve future medical decision-making tools.
