Can AI Out-Doctor the doctor? study pits ChatGPT against anesthesiologists

NCT ID NCT07261436

Summary

This study aims to see if two advanced AI systems (Gemini and ChatGPT) can accurately interpret ultrasound videos of a common pain-blocking procedure, the TAP block. Researchers will compare the AI's answers to those from expert anesthesiologists to see how well the AI identifies anatomy and judges if the block was done correctly. The goal is to understand if AI could one day help train doctors or support their decisions, but no patients will receive different care for this study.
