Can an AI outguess your anesthesiologist? study pits ChatGPT against doctors
NCT ID NCT07395791
Summary
This study aims to see if an AI tool (ChatGPT-5) can predict the need for intensive care after surgery as well as or better than experienced anesthesiologists. It will observe nearly 1,000 patients undergoing planned surgery, comparing the AI's and doctors' pre-surgery predictions against what actually happens. The research is purely observational and will not change how any patient is treated.
