Can a computer judge your surgery risk better than a doctor?

NCT ID NCT07407998

Summary

This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) models could accurately assess a patient's physical health and risk level before surgery, a task normally done by anesthesiologists. Researchers compared the AI's risk scores against those given by experienced doctors for 200 adult patients. The goal was to see if AI could help make pre-surgery risk assessments more consistent and efficient.
