Robot vs. dentist: who designs a better crown?

NCT ID NCT07432165

Summary

This study aims to see if an artificial intelligence (AI) system can design dental crowns as accurately as experienced dentists using standard computer software. Researchers will analyze about 1,000 digital scans of teeth needing crowns, comparing AI-generated designs to those made by human experts. The goal is to understand if AI could one day assist or speed up the crown design process in dental labs.
