Virtual reality nurses: AI training aims to slash hospital medication errors

NCT ID NCT07390461

Summary

This study is testing a new training program that uses artificial intelligence and mixed reality (a blend of real and virtual worlds) to help hospital nurses learn to manage high-risk medications more safely. About 60 nurses with 1 to 6 years of experience will be randomly assigned to either try the new AI-powered simulation or receive standard training. Researchers will compare the two groups to see if the high-tech training improves nurses' skills, reasoning, and communication, and ultimately leads to fewer medication errors.
