AI training sharpens needle skills for future anesthesiologists

NCT ID NCT07385885

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new, non-invasive AI simulation training helps anesthesia residents improve their ultrasound-guided needle skills. Thirty residents will be split into two groups: one using the AI simulation and the other using standard teaching methods. Researchers will measure how well they can see the needle tip on ultrasound and identify body structures. The goal is to see if this training method leads to better performance and confidence.
