AI could replace invasive blood tests before surgery
NCT ID NCT06957587
Summary
This study is testing a new AI tool designed to measure a patient's total blood volume before surgery using only ultrasound videos. Researchers will enroll 800 adults scheduled for surgery to see if the AI can accurately estimate blood volume by analyzing videos of four major blood vessels. The goal is to create a faster, non-invasive way for doctors to assess a patient's fluid status and guide safer surgical care.
