NCT ID NCT07428109

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests an artificial intelligence (AI) system that listens to phone calls from people seeking urgent medical help. The AI aims to identify which patients truly need to go to the hospital emergency department and which can be treated elsewhere. Researchers will compare the AI's decisions with those of doctors, using data from over 40,000 patient calls in France. The goal is to reduce ER overcrowding by improving how calls are triaged.
