Summary
This study is developing and testing a digital tool that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help UK veterans with complex, service-related physical health problems. The AI 'navigator' aims to match veterans to the most appropriate specialist care pathway, such as surgery or pain management, as accurately as a team of human doctors. Researchers will compare the AI's recommendations against the current system to see if it can reduce wait times and improve the care experience for 1,389 veterans over two years.
