Smartphone app aims to be a Nurse's second set of eyes for bedsores
NCT ID NCT07318571
Summary
This study is testing whether a smartphone app that uses artificial intelligence (AI) can help intensive care unit (ICU) nurses more accurately identify and classify pressure injuries, commonly known as bedsores. Researchers will compare nurses using the AI tool with nurses doing standard visual inspections to see which group's assessments more closely match those of a wound care expert. The study also aims to see if using the tool improves the nurses' knowledge and confidence in performing these skin checks.
