Do patients trust AI scribes in the exam room?
NCT ID NCT07131709
Summary
This study explored how patients feel about artificial intelligence (AI) being used to take notes during doctor's appointments. 191 adult patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard care, an AI-generated summary of their visit, or an AI summary plus a follow-up action plan. Researchers measured patient satisfaction and trust in the AI technology through questionnaires to understand if patients are comfortable with this new tool in healthcare.
