AI steps into the Dentist's chair to save your tooth
NCT ID NCT07340606
Summary
This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help predict if a less invasive tooth-saving procedure will work for painful, inflamed tooth pulp. Adults with a painful back tooth will be randomly assigned to receive either this procedure or a traditional root canal. Researchers will use AI to analyze X-rays before treatment and then check how well the AI's predictions match the actual treatment outcomes over six months.
