AI model aims to sharper vision predictions for laser eye surgery
NCT ID NCT07478419
Summary
This study looked back at data from over 1,100 people who had SMILE laser eye surgery for nearsightedness. Researchers used this data to build a computer model (machine learning) that tries to predict how accurate the surgery will be one year later. The goal is to see if this AI model can make better predictions than the current surgical planning software used by doctors.
