AI tool aims to spot dangerous surgery leaks before they happen

NCT ID NCT06807372

Summary

This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool can accurately predict which stomach cancer patients are at high risk for a dangerous leak after surgery. Researchers will follow 1,200 patients who have a specific type of laparoscopic stomach removal surgery. The goal is to validate the AI model so doctors can identify high-risk patients early and take extra precautions to prevent this serious complication.
