AI scans could predict best liver cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07368530

Summary

This study looked back at medical records and scans from 3,000 patients with advanced liver cancer who could not have surgery. Researchers used artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze their pre-treatment scans, trying to find patterns that predict whether a patient would live longer or respond better to one of two common artery-based treatments (TACE or HAIC). The goal is to help doctors in the future choose the right treatment for the right patient from the start.
