First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help doctors decide between two common treatments for early-stage liver cancer: surgery or microwave ablation. The AI will analyze ultrasound and MRI scans to predict which patients are likely to have their cancer return within two years. About 1,400 participants will be followed for two years to see if the AI's recommendations lead to better outcomes.
