First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether using artificial intelligence (AI) during colonoscopy helps doctors find more polyps (small growths in the colon). Over 5,000 adults having routine colonoscopies took part. The researchers compared how many polyps were found with and without AI, and also checked if using AI improved doctors' detection skills over time.
