AI vs. doctors: Who's better at predicting heart checkups before surgery?
NCT ID NCT07395713
First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at whether artificial intelligence (like ChatGPT) can correctly predict if a patient needs a cardiology consultation before non-cardiac surgery. Researchers will compare AI recommendations to those of experienced anesthesiologists using data from 183 adult patients. The AI's advice won't change any actual medical decisions—the goal is simply to see if AI can be a helpful tool.
