Smart stethoscope trial: can AI hear heart trouble better than doctors?

NCT ID NCT07202104

Summary

This study is testing whether artificial intelligence software can accurately detect serious heart murmurs by analyzing recordings from electronic stethoscopes. Researchers will compare the AI's findings against gold-standard ultrasound heart scans in 125 adults with known heart disease. The goal is to improve early detection of structural heart problems through better listening technology.
