AI steps into the ER: can it save lives after a torn aorta?

NCT ID NCT07382375

Summary

This study is testing whether using artificial intelligence (AI) to quickly analyze a patient's immune response can lead to better, more personalized anti-inflammatory treatment after emergency surgery for a torn aorta (aortic dissection). Researchers will enroll 300 emergency surgery patients and randomly assign them to receive either AI-guided treatment or the doctor's standard choice of care. The main goal is to see if the AI-guided approach helps patients' organs recover better in the first week after surgery.
