AI vs. human hands: which builds better jawbones for implants?

NCT ID NCT06135506

Summary

This study tested whether using artificial intelligence to guide a jawbone-widening surgery works better than the standard surgeon-guided method. It involved 22 adults with narrow upper jawbones who needed dental implants. Researchers compared how well the bone healed and supported implants over 9 months using these two different surgical planning approaches.
