Can AI read your pain? study tests chatbots on thumb arthritis

NCT ID NCT07458971

Summary

This study aims to see if artificial intelligence (AI) can help doctors better understand the full picture of thumb arthritis. Researchers will first gather detailed information from 93 people with thumb arthritis, looking at their pain, strength, daily activities, mood, and social support. Then, they will test how well popular AI chatbots answer medical questions about the condition and see if the best AI can predict a patient's complete profile using just a few key measurements.
