AI assistant helps doctors spot rare skin diseases

NCT ID NCT07428915

Summary

This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool could help doctors diagnose skin conditions more accurately. Fifteen doctors reviewed 100 patient images, first giving their own diagnosis and then seeing the AI's suggestions. The goal was to see if the AI's input helped them correctly identify rare and difficult-to-diagnose skin diseases like generalized pustular psoriasis.
