AI steps into the ER: can a computer spot your broken bone faster than a doctor?

NCT ID NCT06754137

Summary

This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help emergency room doctors find broken bones, joint injuries, and other bone problems on X-rays more quickly and accurately. About 4,800 patients with arm or leg injuries will have their X-rays reviewed either the standard way or with the help of AI software. The main goal is to see if using AI saves time, improves accuracy, and lowers costs in the busy emergency room.
