Summary
This small study tested whether an AI writing tool could help eye doctors complete hospital discharge paperwork faster while keeping the quality just as good. Researchers had 21 eye doctors write notes for six made-up patient cases, with some using the AI tool and others writing everything themselves. The goal was to learn if the AI-assisted process saves time and if the final documents are still accurate and useful for patient care.
