AI vs. human eye: the battle to catch blindness early
NCT ID NCT07378956
Summary
This study aims to see if using an AI (Artificial Intelligence) software alongside regular doctor visits helps better identify diabetic retinopathy, a serious eye complication of diabetes. It will compare two groups of adults with type 2 diabetes: one where doctors use the AI to analyze eye photos, and another where doctors work as usual without AI. The main goal is to see if the AI-assisted group has more accurate referrals to eye specialists for the right reasons.
