AI Doctor's eye: computer learns to spot high blood pressure damage in seconds

NCT ID NCT07471971

Summary

This study tested a new computer program, called RetinAIcheck, designed to automatically detect and grade eye damage caused by high blood pressure. The AI was trained on 30,000 eye photos and then tested on 729 patients to see how well it could spot the damage compared to human eye doctors. The goal is to create a fast, accurate tool to help diagnose this condition, known as hypertensive retinopathy.
