AI heart test could reveal best time to treat dangerous high potassium

NCT ID NCT07307729

Summary

This study aims to find out if starting treatment for high potassium levels sooner rather than later improves survival. Researchers will analyze past medical records of 5,000 emergency room patients to see if an artificial intelligence (AI) tool, which reads heart tests (ECGs), can identify which patients need faster treatment. The goal is to use this information to help doctors make better decisions in the future.
