First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study checks if an artificial intelligence (AI) program can spot hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a thickened heart muscle) using ECGs from an Apple Watch or KardiaMobile device. About 183 adults with the condition or who are athletes will take part. The goal is to see if these simple, wearable devices can help diagnose the disease as accurately as a standard hospital ECG.
